  • Debbie Anderson, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, is the Director of Case Management and Behavioral Health at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital. Since relocating from North Dakota in 2016, she has been dedicated to serving Nevada communities with messages of hope and healing. Debbie is also a doctoral student at the University of Arizona Global Campus, pursuing a degree in Psychology.

    In addition to her role at the hospital, Debbie serves on the Board of Directors for Elko Cancer Network, Nevada Cancer Coalition, and Horizon Hospice. Her expertise as a Clinical Professional Counselor is backed by state and national certifications. With a focus on suicide prevention and intervention, as well as specialization in Compassion Fatigue, she brings valuable knowledge to her counseling practice. Debbie is nationally certified as a Geriatric Care Counselor, Certified Clinical Case Manager, Respite Educator Support Trainer, and Grief Therapist.

    Debbie's remarkable contributions have earned her numerous accolades. She has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Women making a Difference in Communities in the USA and acknowledged as an American Suicide Awareness Hero. Debbie's dedication to her work has been honored with the Mercy Award at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in both 2018 and 2022. Furthermore, she was recognized as Nevada's Lung Cancer Hero in 2023.

  • Fabrizza is a proud community volunteer who was born in Silver City, New Mexico, but raised in Elko, NV, where she completed her education at Elko High School. She shares a deep connection with her high school sweetheart, Raul, and together they have been blessed with three beautiful children. Fabrizza's passion for community service was ignited by the influence of her mother, and her commitment to volunteerism continues to grow stronger.

    Inspired by her mother's teachings, Fabrizza has developed a profound love for volunteer work. She finds immense fulfillment in dedicating her time and energy to serving others, believing that even small acts of kindness can create a significant impact. Her genuine desire to make a difference and help those in need drives her dedication to community service.

    Fabrizza's ultimate goal is to be a beacon of kindness and compassion, striving to uplift individuals and communities through her selfless contributions. She hopes to inspire others to join in the collective effort of creating a better world through volunteerism. With her unwavering commitment to making a positive change, Fabrizza aims to leave a lasting legacy of kindness and inspire others to embrace the spirit of giving back.

  • Mari Wall, a lifelong Elko resident, has a strong and enduring connection to her community. For over fourteen years, she has served as an Inventory Controls Analyst at Nevada Gold Mines, where she ensures critical supplies are available and operations run efficiently. Her methodical approach to inventory management reflects her commitment to excellence and reliability.

    Beyond her professional career, Mari is deeply engaged in community service. She has proudly volunteered at National Night Out for the past three years, contributing to the event’s mission of fostering safety and neighborhood unity. A devoted mother to two adult children, Mari’s compassion and resilience were shaped by the loss of her father to cancer in 2001. This personal experience ignited her dedication to supporting others facing the hardships of cancer treatments, especially those who must travel for care.

    In 2024, Mari joined the Elko Cancer Network Board with a heartfelt mission: to honor her father’s memory and ensure that no one in Elko faces the cancer journey alone. Bringing both professional skills and personal insight, Mari offers a fresh perspective and unwavering hope to strengthen patient support and build community resilience.

  • Armida Marin works at the Elko County Sheriff's Office and has been actively involved with the Elko Cancer Network Board since 2018. As a cancer survivor herself, Armida joined ECN with a deep commitment to supporting others during challenging times. Alongside her contributions to ECN, she is also a valued member of the Special Olympics Nevada Executive Board.

    Coming from a large family, Armida cherishes the opportunity to spend quality time with her loved ones. Her passion for the outdoors fuels her enjoyment of various activities, including running, golfing, biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping in the summer, and skiing in the winter. She finds solace and joy in engaging with nature through these outdoor pursuits.

    With her dedication to serving others and her love for outdoor adventures, Armida Marin brings a unique perspective and a wealth of experiences to her roles within the Elko County Sheriff's Office, Elko Cancer Network Board, and the Special Olympics Nevada Executive Board. Her journey as a cancer survivor has instilled in her a profound sense of empathy and resilience, empowering her to make a positive impact on the lives of those around her.

  • GiGi Crawford, a native of Elko, NV, has spent her life immersed in the community she calls home. As a dedicated Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS), she understands the importance of reliable service and connecting with people on a daily basis. However, it is her personal experiences with family and friends battling cancer that have fueled her passion to support others in their fight against this devastating disease.

    Having witnessed the impact of cancer firsthand, GiGi has seen both the triumph of remission and the heartbreak of loss. These experiences have deepened her empathy and solidified her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. GiGi's role as a Mail Carrier has allowed her to forge connections with individuals throughout her community, providing her with a unique opportunity to offer support and assistance to those in need.

    GiGi Crawford eagerly embraces the opportunity to help individuals in their battle against cancer. With her compassionate nature and understanding of the challenges faced by patients and their loved ones, she is determined to contribute to the fight against this relentless disease. Whether it is through organizing fundraising events, raising awareness, or offering a listening ear, GiGi is dedicated to providing aid and comfort to those in need. Her genuine desire to make a positive impact and her unwavering commitment to supporting cancer fighters and survivors make her an invaluable asset to the community.

Our services

All funds raised by Elko Cancer Network remain in northeastern Nevada to assist area residents who are undergoing cancer treatment. The funds are given out in the form of gift cards.

We also connect residents to other local cancer resources and supplies.

As well as supply them with handmade beanies, wraps, caps, and new or like new wigs available at no cost.

We provide aide to the following cities in Elko County: Elko, Spring Creek, Wells, Carlin, Lamoille, and Montello.

We would like to honor board member Barbara Boone, may she rest softly now, we will never let her memory fade.

There are many ways to assist our area cancer patients:

  • Transportation for patients to/from treatments

  • Knitted caps – we gladly take donations of new, soft knitted or crocheted caps

  • Office support (event and fundraising coordination, etc.)

  • Professional services needed: Hairdressing, wig fitting

  • and more!
